It has a more smooth and reliable data transfer speed. This generation has also been given the name SuperSpeed USB 5Gbps which offers 5Gbps of data transfer speed. USB 3.2 Gen 2- SuperSpeed USB 10Gbps
This generation of USB was formerly known as USB 3.1. It is now modified as USB 3.2 Gen 2 having a data transfer speed of up to 10Gbps. This speed is double its previous version and has a boosted performance. This generation has adopted the USB PD up to 100 watts by 20V of power at 5A of current. It is having compatibility; with USB Type A, Type B, Micro B SuperSpeed, and Type C.
USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 and USB4 – USB Type-C
USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 was introduced in August 2017. On the type-C connector, the most significant variation was made and this has the data transfer speed up to 20Gbps. The new thing is the type-C port which supports reverse insertion. USB 3.2 is the latest and more reliable generation of the USB drive which is smoother and faster in data transfer than its previous version. USB4 was introduced on 29 August 2019. You can say it is a futuristic technology that has a data transfer speed of up to 40Gbps. Type-C is the compatibility.
